Quintessential Neighborhood Vibes.
St. Anthony Park is a highly sought-after neighborhood in St. Paul due to its curving streets, hilly terrain, ardent community pride, good schools, abundant green space, and small-town ambience. The neighborhood is divided into two unique sections by Energy Park Drive and the railroad tracks.
North St. Anthony Park is a beloved urban village featuring its own Carnegie Library, a quaint shopping district with a bookshop, coffee house, grocery, restaurants & retail, and College Park with tennis courts & sledding hills. Luther Seminary is also located here along with a number of churches. The University of Minnesota’s Agricultural School campus is located immediately adjacent in Falcon Heights as is University Grove — an area of homes designed by prominent modernist architects.
South St. Anthony Park lies in the Creative Enterprise Zone next to the Green Line light rail along University Avenue. Houses in a variety of architectural styles (including a former bishop’s residence) line the neighborhood’s three parks, one with tennis courts, soccer fields and a recreational center. In the area’s light-industrial area, craft breweries, workout studios and cultural centers have popped up. A large community-owned garden stretches across the northern boundary of South, a tight-knit community with apartment buildings, townhouses, duplexes and single-family homes. The shopping district of South St. Anthony Park is rich with entrepreneurial energy and includes a co-op grocery, restaurants, salons, vintage shops and art galleries. St. Anthony Park hosts an annual Fourth of July parade and festivities in Langford Park.
