MENDOTA

Mendota is a very small first-ring suburb located at the convergence of the Mississippi and Minnesota rivers. It has just one main road, Sibley Memorial Highway (highway 13), and is completely surrounded by Mendota Heights and the Mississippi River. This is a great location in relation to the MSP Airport, with an under 10 minute drive, making traveling that much easier. It’s also less than 15 minutes from Mendota to the Mall of America.

The Sibley Historical Site is the trailhead of the Mendota Trail, a hiking trail that runs south along the Minnesota River and can connect to Fort Snelling State Park. Although Mendota is so close to the cities and other amenities, this trail and the river give it a much more rural feel.

If you’re looking for a small-town feel just outside of the city with easy access to everything you need (even a Costco less than 10 minutes away in Eagan), buy your next home in Mendota!
