SUNFISH LAKE
Sunfish Lake is a small exclusive second ring suburb, located south of West St. Paul. It’s centered around its namesake lake, which is completely surrounded by private property, so that it’s only accessible by residents. The lake doesn’t allow motorboats, but residents can canoe or kayak on it. Sunfish Lake is entirely residential, with just large houses and old-growth trees. In fact, Sunfish Lake has an agreement with the Metropolitan Council to keep the town as green as possible, and limit any development.
Although Sunfish Lake itself doesn’t have any amenities, it’s neighbored by cities that have many, including Inver Grove Heights and Eagan. It’s also located just a short drive away from the Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport, making vacations that much easier.
If you’re looking for a secluded neighborhood with large houses, Sunfish Lake is a great option!
