Deephaven is a small third-ring suburb, adjacent to the east side of Lake Minnetonka and Carson Bay. This provides its residents with an ideal location, with lakefront properties, balanced with a quicker drive to the cities compared to other communities on the lake.
One of the oldest yacht clubs in the country, Minnetonka Yacht Club, is located in Deephaven. The Lake Minnetonka LRT Trail runs through Deephaven, offering scenic bike rides and walks around the whole lake area. For other outdoor activities, Deephaven has six public beaches, along with 89 acres of public parkland.
The Cottagewood General Store, a historic store also running a non-profit, is in Deephaven, as a store, coffee shop, and gathering spot for residents.
Due to its close proximity to Minnetonka, Greenwood, Wayzata, and Excelsior, Deephaven residents have easy access to all of the amenities, shopping, and restaurants that these cities provide.
