ROBBINSDALE

Robbinsdale is a first-ring suburb adjacent to Minneapolis’ northwest corner. The city is over 100 years old, and has maintained its small-town feel throughout that time. Although it feels farther away from the city, it’s still at most 20 minutes from downtown Minneapolis.

A popular area of Robbinsdale is along West Broadway. This has a variety of restaurants and shops, mostly locally-owned, ranging from Athens Cafe, a small casual Greek restaurant, to Travail Kitchen, a restaurant with an elevated tasting menu, and everything in between. Just southeast of West Broadway is Crystal Lake, which offers fishing, boating, and multiple parks directly adjacent.

Victory Memorial Parkway runs along the east side of Robbinsdale, and features a beautiful tree-lined boulevard with a biking and walking path. If you follow Victory Memorial Parkway south, it leads to Theodore Wirth Regional Park, a 759 acre multi-use park in Golden Valley and Minneapolis. Also on Victory Memorial Parkway is the North Memorial Health Robbinsdale Hospital, one of only four level 1 trauma centers in Minnesota. One other feature of Robbinsdale is the Hy-Vee, an 86,500 square foot grocery store with a large dining room space and in-store restaurants.

If you’re looking for a quick drive into Minneapolis with more affordable housing, look for a home in Robbinsdale!
